* In July 2002 the Steel Can Recycling Council launched the new Recyclable Steel Logo, as shown. There are several different colour variations of the logo to enable it to suit different coloured backgrounds.

Recyclable Steel Logo

The purpose of the new logo is to increase consumer awareness of and participation in steel can recycling. By making it clearly visible on product packaging that the steel can is recyclable, we are directly encouraging consumers to be more responsible with their waste.

But consumers aren't the only beneficiaries of including the Recyclable Steel logo on product labelling. Manufacturers also gain as it creates goodwill amongst customers by showing you care about the environment and the community.

We want to encourage all brand owners to adopt the new Recyclable Steel Logo in their packaging - it's free and it's print ready. We've even included logo size recommendations to suit the various sizes of your steel cans.

All you have to do is download it and drop it straight into your labelling design. It's that easy!

Golden Circle's Corn Kernels is one of the first food products to carry the new Recyclable Steel Logo on its labelling.

Leading paint manufacturers Dulux, White Knight, Walpamur, British Paints, Berger and Wattyl Paints have also signed up to do their bit for the environment, adopting the new Recyclable Steel Logo.

Brand owners, simply download the new print ready Recyclable Steel Logo and include it on your product labels and you too will be part of the loop!
