Here are some great tips for reusing and recycling steel cans around your home and garden:
- Use your empty coffee or MiloTM can to store bottle tops and lids for recycling, then replace the lid and place into your recycling.
- Use larger empty steel cans for washing out paintbrushes.
- When planting tree seedlings use a steel can with the bottom cut out, this helps contain water.
- Use steel cans in your shed or garage to hold all those screws, nuts, nails, and bolts. Perfect for the home handyman.
- Use larger steel cans as the BBQ drain. When the can is full, empty the contents onto newspaper, wrap it up and place into garbage bin. Then you can reuse the steel can.
- Or, give the humble steel can a home on your desk! Just like the picture shown, you can use an empty steel can as a neat and tidy holder for your pens, scissors, rulers and glue.
